How to Compare Booksy Service Prices in One Area

Booksy service menus, prices, durations, reviews, and locations

If you want to know what barbers nearby charge for a haircut, a list of business names is not enough. You need the service menu, duration, location, and review context for each shop.

Our Booksy Business Scraper exports those fields from a Booksy search page or individual business URLs. It runs as an Apify Actor, so you can paste a search URL into the Input form and download the dataset without writing code. It does not provide phone numbers or email addresses.

Collect a small Los Angeles sample

  1. Open the Booksy Actor and select a Booksy search page for the service and area you care about.
  2. Under Start URLs, paste the barber-shop search URL below. Set Max items to 3 and leave Scrape reviews off. Service menus are included without that extra option.
  3. Start the run, open its Dataset, and export JSON. The services array is nested inside each business record, so JSON is the clearest format for this comparison.

The same input in the JSON editor is:

{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://booksy.com/en-us/s/barber-shop/134655_los-angeles" }
  ],
  "maxItems": 3,
  "includeReviews": false
}

maxItems caps business profiles across all start URLs in the run. It does not cap the number of services inside a profile.

Our September 25 sample returned three businesses. Two show how a first comparison might look:

BusinessServicePrice / duration
FlowsTheBarberHaircut$50 / 35 min
NYBARBERSHOPMale Haircut$55 / 40 min

FlowsTheBarber had a 4.89 average from 146 reviews; NYBARBERSHOP had 4.71 from 525. The first profile lists Gardena as its city despite appearing in the Los Angeles search. The third result uses an at-home location. Check the address and booking arrangement before calling any three rows a Los Angeles storefront comparison. These are menu prices at collection time, not quotes for a specific appointment.

The Booksy Node.js example runs this same small input and prints the dataset.

Booksy dataset showing barbershop names, locations, ratings, and service counts

This separate, larger Los Angeles search shows how the exported business rows look in the Apify dataset. Open a row to inspect its nested service menu.

Turn the export into a useful comparison

For each business, expand services into one row per service. Keep businessId, business name, url, city, service name, priceDisplay, and durationMinutes. Compare equivalent services only: a haircut, a beard trim, and a haircut-plus-beard package are different purchases. A displayed price ending in + is a starting price, not a fixed total.

Use reviewsAverage together with reviewsCount; a high average from a few reviews is not the same signal as one supported by hundreds. If you need the review text, rerun a shortlist with Scrape reviews on and set Max reviews per business. The Actor does not enrich websites or social links into contact emails.

Pricing

Pricing as of September 25, 2026 is $0.004 per business without review text or $0.007 per business with reviews. These are alternative events; the same business is not charged both. The Actor-start event is $0.00005 per GB of allocated memory, minimum one event. Three businesses without reviews have an Actor event estimate of $0.01205 at the minimum start charge. Apify platform or proxy usage may be billed separately under your plan. See live pricing before a larger run.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Booksy scraper return service prices without reviews?

Yes. Business profiles include service names, displayed prices, and durations with Scrape reviews off. Turn reviews on only if you need their text.

Does a city search include only businesses inside that city?

Not necessarily. Booksy search results can include nearby businesses. Check each result's address and city before comparing a local market.
